You won’t find FLAC files on miniMKVs because… well the file wouldn’t be mini anymore haha. The only negative to miniMKVs are sound quality. If you select very slow, you’re giving the codec the time it needs to properly convert the file into the medium you want. If you select very fast, you’re gonna get a file that’s pretty close in size to the original source. In fact, in most cases it has been better due to there being no banding. I have personally stacked every episode I have encoded up with the source files and I haven’t noticed any drop of video quality. When it comes to file size and quality, that’s generally dictated by how much time someone spends encoding a file, as well as the settings used for the encode. The 8bit doesn’t have the depth of shades that the 10bit has, it almost looks like a splotchy sky in the 8bit. Non-mouse over is 10bit, mouse-over is 8bit. I’m on an all-nighter, so I’ve got plenty of time on my hands.
